Espey Mfg. & Electronics Corp. designs and manufactures using our proprietary heat exchanger design which enables increased current density upward of 2.5 times over conventional air-cooled units. The increased current density allows the volume and weight to be reduced significantly without compromising power handling, or dielectric requirements.
We offer liquid cooled power transformers in a variety form factors, power isolation, power distribution, high voltage multi pulse, and rectifier converter applications.
Espey Mfg. & Electronics Corp. is a vertically integrated facility which enables each design to be manufactured tested and qualified in house enabling quick response to changes that are flexible for your unique requirements.
Espey uses patented technology currently used on Virginia and Seawolf class Submarines for low structure-borne noise power transformers.
Espey has developed a proprietary , liquid cooled dry type power transformer construction has produced some of the lightest power transformers possible for military applications. We are currently manufactures a 1MVA, medium voltage Highest Power Density Rectifying transformer design weighing than 3300lbs.
Espey currently manufactures transformer rectifiers for the prime power interface for The High Power Radar Transmitters, providing 890kW from shipboard power IAW with MIL-STD-1399/300A, qualified to MIL-S-901 shock and MIL-STD-167-1 vibration.
