Lead Solderer II

Must have the ability to read blue prints. Must have familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers and soldering irons.  Ideal candidate has 1+ years of soldering experience.  Job duties include soldering components and terminal boards, as well as assembling fabricated metal items as specified by work orders.

Electronics Technician/B-Tester

Must have AAS Degree Electronic Technology or 2+ years equivalent work experience. The suitable candidate will possess previous work experience in utilizing analog and digital measurement equipment to test / troubleshoot DC/DC, DC/AC high and low voltage power supplies to the component level.  Must be a self-starter and capable of working with the engineering staff to perform design development and product verification testing on power conversion equipment.  Excellent electronic test and troubleshoot skills are required. Electronics assembly and repair skills are desired.

Power Supply Design Engineer

The successful candidate must possess a BSEE and have 5+ years€™ experience and demonstrated ability in developing and supporting power supply designs and products for high reliability and military applications. Experience with power levels >1KW, AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC. The individual must understand and be able to develop switch-mode power supplies using various topologies and techniques to achieve an efficient, reliable, EMI/EMC compliant design. Experience with rugged/military designs, thermal packaging and layout of power electronics is required. The candidate will be expected to thrive in a small company atmosphere where they will be involved with proposing solutions to customer specifications, through development, test and production support of power conversion products.

Transformer/Power Design Conversion Engineer

BS in Electrical Engineering with experience and desire to design AC Power electronics products: transformers, filters and rectifying systems from 1 kilowatt to 1 megawatt. Experience with designing 60Hz magnetic components in high reliability or military applications desired. Requires US citizenship and ability to obtain US Security clearance. 5+ years related experience desired. Experience with magnetic FEA software such as Ansoft Maxwell is a definite plus.

Technical Writer

This position requires strictest attention to detail and accuracy, clearly communicated and coordinated efforts involving all the activities within the Engineering department. Must have the ability to support the creation of technical manuals, procedures, reports and other technical documentation in Microsoft Office applications. Duties include researching data, interpreting engineering information, writing product descriptions and theory of operations, creating maintenance procedures, editing materials, and incorporating changes. Must be detail-oriented self-starter and willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Ability to work independently and in a small team environment is important. Candidate will clearly communicate progress and coordinate team management efforts involving all assigned activities. Electrical or Mechanical engineering knowledge is a plus with relevant experience in power supply/transformer/military applications. Must have Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, Technical Writing, or Communications, or Engineering degree with a minimum of 2 years working in a power electronics environment performing technical writing duties; 5 years’ experience may substitute for education requirement. Experience with SolidWorks modeling and creating manufacturing and assembly drawings is a plus.

Test Engineer

Must have BSEE and 3+ years’ experience with transformer design, testing and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will have excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to develop Acceptance Test Procedures (e.g. test set-ups, equipment selection, pass/fail criteria, test results), and the knowledge to develop department safety procedures.  Ideal candidate has an understanding of testing, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, monitoring, and operating high voltage electrical systems including transformers, switching stations, circuit breakers (& possibly others). Candidate will have direct working experience with power levels of 100W to several megawatts, frequencies 60HZ to 400HZ, single phase, 3 phase and multi-tap transformers, and an understanding of power transformer windings.  Will consult with engineers to ensure criteria are suitable for the proposed application, recommend revisions as needed, and provide technical support to customers. Must have ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Large Magnetics Assembly II

The successful candidate must accurately build transformers and other assemblies to prints, drawings, work instructions, travelers or other method of instruction with supervision. Must verify usable condition of all tools; ensure equipment calibration is valid prior to use, and use calibrated measuring devices to check dimensions to confirm assembly meets drawings and prints. Must setup and assemble cores and/or steel lamination and insulating separators into wound coils using banding, stacking, interleaving, and other techniques as required. Must prepare wire connections by forming, sanding, scraping, tinning, insulating and/or other methods for connection to terminals or other points of contact and also prepare surfaces using silicones or other surface treatments, as indicated by documentation. Utilize solder irons, torches, epoxies, and/or tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, pliers, clamps, etc.) to form and make connections, fasten metal objects together, and assemble parts to form units or subassembly parts, or mounts subassemblies on panel or in cabinet. Clean and inspect terminal connections for flaws and correct as needed. Assemble wires to terminals, lugs, and/or terminal boards utilizing crimping tools and other tools as needed. Must assemble or dis-assemble electronic components, mechanical components, subassemblies, and/or systems and make mechanical adjustments to work, including unit rework, repair or modifications.  Must have valid driver’s license.  Must pass both Espey Fork Truck and Brazing Certification Training programs, and then obtain both Espey Fork Truck Certification and Brazing Certification within 90 days.

Production Magnetics Manager

Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Technical Field, Industrial Engineering or related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered in place of degree. Must have at least 5-8 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidate is responsible for managing all union production personnel, taking disciplinary actions as necessary, maintaining shop floor employees’ time and labor tracking, and developing/implementing programs designed to promote safety and quality objectives. Ideal candidate has experience with 5S, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and supervising production of transformers and magnetics components. Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as demonstrate time management skills and flexibility to thrive in a fast paced environment. Computer proficiency is necessary to plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals.

Senior Technician / Assistant IT Director

We are looking for a talented candidate to help manage all information systems of the organization, maintain security and business continuity, and project/manage infrastructure upgrades and external consulting service. This position reports directly to the IT Director, and will be on call 24/7 in case of emergency.  The ideal candidate has the ability to provide technology leadership and vision for the organization, and provide a strategic level of guidance in support for all information technology initiatives.  They will have the ability to lead and manage technology across the organization, to ensure the privacy and security of user information systems, and to effectively manage information technology assets.  Candidate will have the ability to ensure network and data security, including hacking and intrusion techniques and countermeasures.  This position will provide day to day support to users within the organization, troubleshoot and maintain all systems and services. Candidate will implement and monitor controls to ensure standards are maintained, as well as developing plans for implementation of new projects, while coordinating with project leaders.  They will maintain awareness of changing IT trends and regulations as it relates to the organization and take corrective action as required.  Must have ability to maintain and support VMWare, Windows Operating Systems, ERP systems, firewalls, switches and routers. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to document configuration changes and processes. Must be able to solve complex problems under pressure.  Experience with NIST, SOX requirements, NIPSOM & RMF, incident response and incident reporting are a plus. Must be able to obtain security clearance, and have minimum 5 years of related experience and an Associate’s degree.
