About the job: Embark on a new career journey to shape the future as an Espey Entry Level Operator Technician, internally referred to as a Potter, where you will be part of a team crafting transformers & power supplies destined for military and industrial products. The Entry Level Operator Technician (Potter) fills pores with a liquid or resin to improve how a material functions, such as sealing against fluids, increasing strength, or enhancing electrical insulation. The Entry Level Operator Technician (Potter) role involves performing routine tasks under the supervision of experienced teammates and will be provided with training and guidance as needed. Unlock your operational skills and production finesse by creating products that protect today’s military. Entry Level Operator Technician (Potter) Key Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

· Weigh out quantities of powered or liquid dyes and chemicals to prepare solutions or resin mixtures according to specifications

· Assist when asked to load the parts or materials onto manufacturing equipment

· Position module or transformer unit under outlet of tank containing encapsulation fluid

· Place components on rack, dip units into encapsulating fluid, and hang rack on drying frame or in oven to harden sealing compound

· Record and maintain documentation for quality control and traceability purposes

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including cleaning equipment and removing debris or obstructions

· Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors

· Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge

· Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, and workplace conduct

· Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support a positive work environment and achieve production goals

· Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or exposure to hazardous materials

· Use measuring tools to check dimensions to drawings & specifications

Required Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must be able to work full time

· Must be US citizen with ability to secure a US Government security clearance; Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in working in manufacturing or production environments

· Proficient in following work instructions

· Technical training or relevant certifications

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

· Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.

· Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

· Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers and supervisors.

· Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.

· Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required by production schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.07 – $18.67 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
