The successful candidate will complete test setup, troubleshooting, data collection and analysis; drafts and submits test reports for customer submittals. Will produce, review and edit documentation such as work instructions, ATPs, QTPs, safety protocols, workflow diagrams and test cell SOPs.  Will be responsible for determining test requirements to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, monitor, and operate high voltage electrical systems including, but not limited to, transformers, switching stations, circuit breakers and stored energy systems.  Will review and analyze a variety of engineering data, proposals, customer specifications, documents, and reports to determine testing requirements and will then provide input into proposals as needed.  The Engineering Test Specialist consults with design engineers to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate.  Will regularly interface with Engineering, Production, and with customers.

Bachelors degree or related equivalent experience is preferred.  Previous experience with the use of test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, power quality meters, insulation resistance testers, high potential testers, phase rotation meters and digital test equipment is required.  Experience in troubleshooting electrical circuits, circuit boards and systems is also required.  Some travel will be required, up to 10% annually.
