Sr. Account Manager

Serves as the direct point of contact and communications for Espey’s returning customers and repeat orders.  The SAM will provide oversight to product updates and design mods, lead contract management & compliance, pricing, order continuity, strategic direction and leadership for the assigned accounts. The SAM manages all aspects of customer relations and associated order activities from proposal to order acceptance to schedule management and fulfillment, problem resolution, service enhancement and account development for growth.  Responsibilities include:

  • Serves as primary customer interface for any technical, or engineering related activities impacting a customer’s product; and handles engineering change coordination, FAI testing or re-qualification testing, etc.
  • Serves as a key point of contact and advocate ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service for assigned account; evaluates service quality and initiates any necessary communication and/or corrective action promptly.
  • Coordinates activity with the Vice President of Business Development to provide the highest level of service for customers; and implements program development to ensure continued business and possible growth opportunities.
  • Identifies and utilizes networking opportunities with customer’s organizations at all levels; implements “best practices” to ensure smooth customer transactions and demonstrates C.A.R.E.; assists in the proposal process; coordinates and performs Pricing Reviews, Sales Order Acceptance and Execution, and post-sale support of customer transactions using industry best practices and customer specific assessment tools.
  • Conducts account health checks to identify issues in a timely manner and assist team members in taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary; initiates, coordinates and assumes responsibility for benchmarking and the identification of cost-saving practices throughout the assigned account.
  • Implements key performance measures, tracking tools, scorecards and reporting methods in cooperation with customer’s managers to enhance team effectiveness and performance; meets regularly with customer management representatives for account reviews; addresses any actual or potential problems; assists in preparation of RFP responses; negotiation of customer contracts; including negotiation of customer contracts; order acceptance and transitions; provides support during customer order acceptance and transitions; supports assessments and surveys; coordinates review of pre and post orders; and ensures contract compliance throughout the entire portfolio.
  • Builds and facilitates teamwork, partnerships and the implementation of progressive change; and supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and core beliefs of the organization. Leads customer meetings including presentations on Company portfolio of products and services and trade shows as requested (est. travel 10%).

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering and 5-7 years of extensive related work experience required.

Maintenance Electrician

Candidate will have strong mechanical skills. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, chillers and air compressors.  Will be responsible for pulling motors apart, replacing bearings, fan belts and draft inducers. Knowledge of building construction required.  Will need to get into walls and ceilings for running power.  Must be able to diagnose and repair issues with electrical equipment.  Will be responsible for using deductive reasoning to figure out the root cause of an electrical malfunction and then repairing the problem.  Will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the preventative maintenance plan.  This involves creating a standard maintenance procedure and logbook for each piece of equipment or machinery.  Strong critical thinking skills, communication skills and attention to detail required.  Must be able to work independently, under minimal supervision.

Stock Clerk

The Stock Clerk will effectively manage daily inventory control.  Responsibilities include: Pulling necessary material out of stock by following each verbal or printed request, pick list, material transfer, etc. using the FIFO (First In First Out) method; properly maintaining paperwork for shortages and the transfer or issuance of stock material; ensuring materials are stored in an orderly and accessible manner and keeping similar parts in the same area within the stockroom; counting material using a scale to verify amount and match it to the printed request or verbal instruction; bag and tag the material to ensure proper labeling; deliver material to the proper department and obtain necessary signatures; assist in counting of physical inventory. Will be responsible for entering information from various paperwork sources into a database system to generate the appropriate corresponding transaction. Will also use a database system to research discrepancies, answer questions regarding materials, and route incoming material to the correct location (stock bin or production department).

Lead Solderer II

Must have the ability to read blue prints. Must have familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers and soldering irons.  Ideal candidate has 1+ years of soldering experience.  Job duties include soldering components and terminal boards, as well as assembling fabricated metal items as specified by work orders.

Production Maintenance Supervisor

Espey Manufacturing and Electronics Corp. is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.   The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Directing workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Directing workers engaged in ground maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, snow plowing and removal, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.
  • Directing workers engaged in maintaining and repairing building utility systems, such as electric wiring and controls, heating, ventilating and steam generating systems.
  • Directing workers engaged in facility maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning and garbage removal on a daily basis.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintaining or coordinating outside services for company equipment, including vehicles and manufacturing equipment upkeep and preventive maintenance.
  • Addressing regulatory requirements with Federal, State, and Local laws regarding disposal of wastes, and OSHA requirements, including the filing and record keeping of required paperwork.
  • Inspecting completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Suggesting changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems.

Large Magnetics Assembly III

The successful candidate must accurately build transformers and other assemblies to prints, drawings, work instructions, travelers or other method of instruction with supervision. Must verify usable condition of all tools; ensure equipment calibration is valid prior to use, and use calibrated measuring devices to check dimensions to confirm assembly meets drawings and prints. Must setup and assemble cores and/or steel lamination and insulating separators into wound coils using banding, stacking, interleaving, and other techniques as required. Must prepare wire connections by forming, sanding, scraping, tinning, insulating and/or other methods for connection to terminals or other points of contact and also prepare surfaces using silicones or other surface treatments, as indicated by documentation. Utilize solder irons, torches, epoxies, and/or tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, pliers, clamps, etc.) to form and make connections, fasten metal objects together, and assemble parts to form units or subassembly parts, or mounts subassemblies on panel or in cabinet. Clean and inspect terminal connections for flaws and correct as needed. Assemble wires to terminals, lugs, and/or terminal boards utilizing crimping tools and other tools as needed. Must assemble or dis-assemble electronic components, mechanical components, subassemblies, and/or systems and make mechanical adjustments to work, including unit rework, repair or modifications.

Electronics Tester

Power Supply Design Engineer

The successful candidate must possess a BSEE and have 5+ years€™ experience and demonstrated ability in developing and supporting power supply designs and products for high reliability and military applications. Experience with power levels >1KW, AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC. The individual must understand and be able to develop switch-mode power supplies using various topologies and techniques to achieve an efficient, reliable, EMI/EMC compliant design. Experience with rugged/military designs, thermal packaging and layout of power electronics is required. The candidate will be expected to thrive in a small company atmosphere where they will be involved with proposing solutions to customer specifications, through development, test and production support of power conversion products.
