Stock Clerk

The Stock Clerk will effectively manage daily inventory control.  Responsibilities include: Pulling necessary material out of stock by following each verbal or printed request, pick list, material transfer, etc. using the FIFO (First In First Out) method; properly maintaining paperwork for shortages and the transfer or issuance of stock material; ensuring materials are stored in an orderly and accessible manner and keeping similar parts in the same area within the stockroom; counting material using a scale to verify amount and match it to the printed request or verbal instruction; bag and tag the material to ensure proper labeling; deliver material to the proper department and obtain necessary signatures; assist in counting of physical inventory. Will be responsible for entering information from various paperwork sources into a database system to generate the appropriate corresponding transaction. Will also use a database system to research discrepancies, answer questions regarding materials, and route incoming material to the correct location (stock bin or production department).

  • Must be comfortable with use and mixing of varnishes, solvents, sealants, oils, coatings, and epoxies.
  • Tasks include dipping, encapsulating, applying, and submerging assemblies in varnishes, coatings, transformer oil, and encapsulants.
  • Requires safety glasses at all times, and may require use of safety apparatus such as gloves, hot-mitts, apron, respirator, or dust mask.
  • Able to accurately measure materials by weight or volume and mix as required by process specification or manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Labeling of all secondary-containers so dispensed/transferred material maintains traceability.
  • Ability to read and understand product specifications (prints), process specifications, material data sheets, and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver weights up to 35 pounds and utilize overhead hoist or crane for heavier products.
  • Able to safely operate overhead hoists and cranes to lift and lower product, as well as pallet jacks for moving product as needed.
  • Requires loading and unloading of racks and fixtures used in the processing of products.
  • Use of hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, blades, measuring tape, calipers, cutters, scissors, and punches.
  • Use of power tools such as vacuum cleaner, die grinder, grinding/wire wheel, drill-press, impact driver, and hydraulic press.
  • Able to set operating parameters and time intervals of ovens, vacuum chambers, and vacuum pumps.
  • Preparing product for processing by installing fixtures and/or clamping devices as well as application of masking and mold-release compounds.
  • Cleaning fixtures and associated hardware, plates, and trays as required.
  • Cleaning of product post-processing in order to remove excess varnish, resin, epoxy, and encapsulants.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, ovens, vacuum chambers, and overall department area.
  • Maintaining equipment logs and maintenance records.
  • Use of computer for clocking in and out, logging in and out of job operations, and taking counts for completed tasks. Must add notes for explanation as required.

Lead Solderer II

Must have the ability to read blue prints. Must have familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers and soldering irons.  Ideal candidate has 1+ years of soldering experience.  Job duties include soldering components and terminal boards, as well as assembling fabricated metal items as specified by work orders.

Certified Welder

Candidate must be able to set up, work and weld aluminum, steel and stainless steel; setup, run and use of Tig welder and spot welders. Ability to read blueprints and specifications is required. Must be experienced in machine shop type welding. Minimum of 4 years previous welding experience and performing class I and class II welds is required.

CNC Programmer/Operator

Must have experience with operating CNC milling machines, selecting and setting up tools (end mills, drills, taps and other tools). Must be able to plan, program, set up and operate multiple machines. Ideal candidate has ability to apply interpretations into programming, set up and operation of CNC machines. Familiarity with set up and operation of various machinery including Haas VF4-SS, Feature-Cam, and G and M code programming. Formal training a plus. Candidate will be able to set up and operate the following machine tools: CNC Milling machines, drills, lathes, milling machines, saws and shears, while working from blueprints or verbal orders with a minimum amount of supervision. Experience with a CMM and Calypso CAM Software a plus. High School diploma or equivalent required.

Design/Drafting Office Administrator

Seeking an Office Administrator that will manage a variety of general office activities, create and maintain all bills of materials (BOM) and assist in purchasing all materials for new and special jobs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Checking drawing changes made by drafting and makes sure they are properly recorded on Engineering Changes Notices, signs and distributes to proper departments.
  • Assures changes are entered into system and proper records are kept for retrieval.
  • Issues production releases to appropriate personnel/departments.
  • Types and edits text documents, such as test procedures, parts list and specifications, as required.
  • Enters drafting/engineering time cards into system and keep vacation and absentee records.
  • Works with Drafting Supervisor to maintain department and assist when needed.
  • Keeps records of past and present jobs for easy reference and retrieval.
  • Maintains company-numbering system to eliminate duplicating of numbers.
  • Stays abreast of all the latest ISO procedures within the Design/Drafting Department.
  • Creates and maintains all BOMs using the company software, as required.
  • Assists in purchasing any materials required for special jobs, such as first-time designs, research and development, etc.

Small Magnetics Assembler

The successful candidate must accurately build transformers and other assemblies to prints, drawings, work instructions, travelers or other method of instruction with supervision.

Must have experience with hand tools. Soldering is helpful. Will be winding with thin wire. Experience interpreting drawings is preferred.

Project Manager

Espey Manufacturing & Electronics Corp is seeking a Project Manager to lead the daily execution of assigned projects to ensure projects are executed on-time, on-schedule, and on-budget. Will direct and coordinate activities concerned with contracts for sale of equipment, materials, products, or service in order to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.

Responsibilities include:  Assisting the Program Manager to develop project schedules, briefings, meeting minutes, trip reports, and project cost and technical volumes.  Monitoring the cost, schedule, and performance of assigned projects and provides risk mitigation plans and course corrections as required to maximize project efficiency and performance.  Providing status updates of assigned projects in weekly meetings to top management and department heads. Prioritizing and directing workflows across departments within assigned project scope. Advising affected departments of contractual rights and obligations. Implementing and adhering to the Systems Engineering Process for the planning and execution of assigned projects. Supporting quoting department in development of quotes by responding to RFQs from the customer, monitoring quote status and progress, engaging in dialogue with customer at all phases of quoting; tracks all stages of a quote in customer relationship management tool; and reports status to upper management.

Will act as the direct contact between company and customers ensuring that the terms and conditions of legally binding contracts are fulfilled by both parties. Hosts and leads customer visits/meetings.

Bachelors degree in Engineering, and 2-4 years related planning and management experience is preferred.

Power Supply Design Engineer

The successful candidate must possess a BSEE and have 5+ years€™ experience and demonstrated ability in developing and supporting power supply designs and products for high reliability and military applications. Experience with power levels >1KW, AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC. The individual must understand and be able to develop switch-mode power supplies using various topologies and techniques to achieve an efficient, reliable, EMI/EMC compliant design. Experience with rugged/military designs, thermal packaging and layout of power electronics is required. The candidate will be expected to thrive in a small company atmosphere where they will be involved with proposing solutions to customer specifications, through development, test and production support of power conversion products.
