Security Analyst / ISSO

We are currently looking to add a Security Analyst to our IT team.  The primary job functions include:

• Performing ISSO functions on classified information systems
• Reviewing outputs from security tools such as vulnerability scanners, STIGs and event logs.
• Assessing and mitigating threats, vulnerabilities and risk.
• Performing risk assessments.
• Implementing security solutions.
• Updating and auditing IT assets and information systems.
• Writing policies, procedures and plans to support information system compliance.
• Preparing security plans and submitting information systems for authorization.

A minimum of 5 years IT experience including a minimum of 2 years experience with Federal IT security is required.  Working knowledge of RMF framework; SOX requirements; Federal cybersecurity related guidelines and mandates such as NIST 800 Series; and system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures is also required.  Should also have experience with auditing and certifying compliance of various systems (Windows, Network Devices, Industrial Test Equipment and peripherals)

The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

Power Supply Design Engineer

The successful candidate possess a BSEE and have 5+ years experience and demonstrated ability in developing and supporting power supply designs and products for high reliability and military applications. Experience with power levels >1KW, AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC. The individual must understand and be able to develop switch-mode power supplies using various topologies and techniques to achieve an efficient, reliable, EMI/EMC compliant design. Experience with rugged/military designs, thermal packaging and layout of power electronics is required. Good writing and communication skills including technical presentations, technical write-ups, risk analysis, failure rate prediction and analysis, test procedures and reports, etc. are required. The candidate will be expected to thrive in a small company atmosphere where they will be involved with proposing solutions to customer specifications, through development, test and production support of power conversion products.

Sr. Program Manager

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management and have experience with Department of Defense contracting. Candidate must possess the ability to lead the program lifecycle, from cradle to grave, including an understanding of the development of technical proposals, SOW, PDR and CDR, risk management and mitigation strategies including continuous improvement strategies to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Candidate must have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. The candidate must have a good understanding of accounting, contracts, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing principles, an understanding of export regulations is beneficial. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work in a faced paced, high demand environment, be a self-starter and capable of working independently and with all departments to meet customer requirements. Previous FARS/DFARS experience required. BS in business or electrical technology field, or equivalent experience in the military sales, power supply and/or transformers industry is preferred. Program Management Institute PMP certification is a plus.

Sr. Strategic Sourcing Agent

Espey Manufacturing & Electronics is seeking a senior level, experienced buyer with knowledge of mechanical and electrical components. Basic knowledge of electronics parts and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) is beneficial.

  • Strategic Thinking, Planning, and Action to negotiate prices and terms with suppliers
  • Identify suppliers with respect to risk, cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
  • Plans and manages materials to meet customer requirements and best support the company’s goals.
  • Audits suppliers’ facilities to evaluate them as sources and responsible for the resolution of production, design, quality, and/or delivery problems. Requires travel.
  • Communicates the status of supplier scorecard to supply base and assures corrective and preventive action from underperforming suppliers.
  • Assists Strategic Sourcing Agents with questions, issues, & gives advice/direction when needed in various tasks.
  • Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues with purchased items.
  • Manage subcontracts and complex commodities (i.e. CCA, external fabrications, castings)

Maintenance- General

Performs simple maintenance, repair and related work on machine tools, shop equipment such as soldering irons, bench drills, etc. Will use hand tools, portable power tools or trade tools under specific direction.   Performs maintenance, painting and related work. Includes both spray and brush work, inside and out of doors, painting factory interior, concrete, fences, skids, machines, equipment. Will be required to work with specific instructions

Electronics Technician

Associates Degree with experience and desire to utilize analog and digital measurement equipment to test and troubleshoot power supplies and other electronic assemblies. Must be a self starter and capable of working with the engineering staff performing design development and product verification testing on power conversion equipment. Excellent electronic test and troubleshoot skills required. Electronics assembly and repair skills desired. 2+ years related experience desired.

Large Magnetics Assembly III

The successful candidate must accurately build transformers and other assemblies to prints, drawings, work instructions, travelers or other method of instruction with supervision. Must verify usable condition of all tools; ensure equipment calibration is valid prior to use, and use calibrated measuring devices to check dimensions to confirm assembly meets drawings and prints. Must setup and assemble cores and/or steel lamination and insulating separators into wound coils using banding, stacking, interleaving, and other techniques as required. Must prepare wire connections by forming, sanding, scraping, tinning, insulating and/or other methods for connection to terminals or other points of contact and also prepare surfaces using silicones or other surface treatments, as indicated by documentation. Utilize solder irons, torches, epoxies, and/or tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, pliers, clamps, etc.) to form and make connections, fasten metal objects together, and assemble parts to form units or subassembly parts, or mounts subassemblies on panel or in cabinet. Clean and inspect terminal connections for flaws and correct as needed. Assemble wires to terminals, lugs, and/or terminal boards utilizing crimping tools and other tools as needed. Must assemble or dis-assemble electronic components, mechanical components, subassemblies, and/or systems and make mechanical adjustments to work, including unit rework, repair or modifications.

Lead Solderer II

Must have the ability to read blue prints. Must have familiarity with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers and soldering irons.  Ideal candidate has 1+ years of soldering experience.  Job duties include soldering components and terminal boards, as well as assembling fabricated metal items as specified by work orders.

Machine Shop QC Inspector

The successful candidate will inspect assemblies, subassemblies and components to validate compliance with specifications, drawings, blueprints, production details and governing inspection procedures and manuals. Must have a minimum of 2 years QC inspection experience with electrical and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, circuit card assemblies and miscellaneous parts. Candidate should be competent using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges and basic electrical meters.

Experience with machining, welding and CMM is a MUST. Working knowledge of AS 9100, ISO 9001 and mechanical calibration preferred.

Set up and operate, working from blueprints, work instructions or verbal orders with supervision the following machine tools: drills, lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and any other tools required to perform listed duties.Successful candidate has knowledge of following manual/bench work: deburring, sand-blasting, filing, scraping and chipping, layout and assembly, dial indicators, Vernier height gage, tapping and threading and inspection.

Be able to use precision measurement equipment and knowledge of shop safety.  Be able to measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.

2 years previous experience or related education required.

Electronics Tester
